CPS Technology Group is pleased to announce the general availability of CallXpress® 7.80. This release continues CPS’s focus on providing a broad choice of communications solutions that are architecturally flexible yet robust, and are easy to use and administer. This assures our customers of a more productive workforce, greater flexibility in terms of integration options and a smoother transition from traditional to IP-based telephony.

CallXpress 7.80 includes an Avaya® INTUITY™ AUDIX® telephone user interface (TUI) emulation, support for the Avaya Message Networking Gateway, improved addressing capabilities including prefix addressing, enhanced MWI capabilities, support for Lotus® Notes R7 and support for new integrations with Alcatel® and ShoreTel® switches. Alternate Message Addressing
Optionally, the CallXpress TUI now supports an alternate method for mailbox addressing where users record a message and then address the message to one or multiple recipients. CallXpress responds with the mailbox name recording or other confirmation. Mailbox input is streamlined with a single digit termination key after each address. Each user mailbox can be setup to use the traditional method or this new method for addressing.

Avaya INTUITY AUDIX TUI Emulation
CallXpress now supports the Avaya INTUITY AUDIX TUI emulation along with Octel® Aria®, Serenade® and Centigram emulations. Most message recording and message management functions have been emulated, leaving user preferences and Phone Manager functions in the CallXpress interface.

 
     
  NETWORK ADDRESSING  
 


Prefix Addressing
Taking greater advantage of the CallXpress Digital Networking capabilities, CallXpress now supports the option for multiple dialing prefix numbers to be associated with a network node. The prefix plus mailbox number can be entered (instead of network node plus mailbox number). Although network nodes are a fixed length, prefixes can be of variable length.

Digital Networking Improvements
The stability and the usability of the digital networking administration tool have been enhanced to include a loopback test feature.

Avaya Message Networking Gateway Support
CallXpress supports the Avaya Message Networking Gateway via VPIM to send and receive network messages with Avaya messaging systems. Recorded name confirmation is supported.

Automatic Creation of Remote ID’s
Support for the Avaya Message Networking Gateway’s ability to pass vcard information to automatically create remote sender IDs, including mailbox number, text and spoken name.

MWI improvements for Exchange

CallXpress 7.80 supports an enhanced MWI for Exchange methodology that speeds the performance of light activation / deactivation.

Setting Multiple Extensions for MWI
CallXpress 7.80 supports the enabling of MWI on multiple extensions. The extensions involved do not have to include the primary extension.

ICA Improvements
ICA (Integrated Client Access) server now supports up to 10,000 users.

Support for Lotus Notes R7 in non-DUC Deployments
CallXpress now works with the latest release of Lotus Notes using the custom CallXpress Notes templates.

Support for Lotus Notes R7 in DUC Deployments
CallXpress now works with the latest release of Lotus Notes using the DUC template.

Alcatel OmniPCX Enterprise (4400) E1 QSIG
CallXpress now supports this switch using E1 QSIG (E1 signaling scheme with the Q-SIG protocol).

ShoreTel SMDI Analog Support
CallXpress now supports analog integration with this switch.

Increased Archive Capacity in the Archive utility

With the addition of an updated .zip file creation routine, the Archive utility can now create archives in .zip format with double the capacity of previous versions. The maximum size possible for zip archives has been increased from two GB to four GB.

Improved Diagnostics Utility CallXpress 7.80 includes a Filtered Views section in the Logging Settings. This cross references the same processes shown in the System section. In addition, CallXpress 7.80 now allows for command line support in the Diagnostics utility. Administrators specify configuration switches and other options directly on the command line or in a XML file mentioned on the command line.

Dialogic 6 Support
CallXpress 7.80 supports Dialogic 6.0 PCI Update 95. With this update, the following Dialogic boards are no longer supported:

  • All ISA boards
  • D/4PCI (non-universal)
  • D/240PCI-T1
  • D/41EPCI
  • D/80-PCI
  • D/320-PCI

Please check the existing Dialogic boards installed in the system prior to installing CallXpress 7.80. Any of the non-supported boards listed above should be removed (after removing the associated Dialogic software) prior to installing CallXpress 7.80.
